The manager’s office of Mr Ove Hede Nielsen, factory-owner

You won’t believe your eyes when you visit the ‘cigar lounge office’ of Ove Hede Nielsen, with its brass lamps, furniture in exclusive wood and a bar in the corner. The office originates from the Arena radio/TV factory on Fabrikvej in Horsens.

Management theories emerged during the industrial revolution, as more and more people were working in larger factories. This meant there was a greater need to coordinate the work of all these people, and this also increased the need for management and office work.
