The Machine Hall

In the beautiful plant room from the old power station in Horsens, our volunteer engineers run the engines and blow your ears off. The Machine Hall features examples of steam engines and various kinds of internal combustion engines made between the late 19th century and the 1950s.

In the 19th century, mechanical power became essential for industrial manufacturing. Machines could now efficiently do work that previously was done by hand, horse or hydropower.
