The story of industry is a story of people – and here, you’ll come face to face with them. At the Textile Mill, you’ll encounter the weaving master, the mill girl and the factory superintendent, each appearing on large screens to speak to you and share their story.
Of course, a textile factory in the 1920s is also full of machines – all powered by the mighty steam engine at one end of the room. And when we start the steam engine, something quite special happens: the room fills with smoke and steam, the lighting shifts and the atmosphere becomes truly magical.
It’s something you have to experience!
